Wrong-way crash on I-70 kills Georgia man

A Georgia man was killed Tuesday evening after driving into opposing traffic and colliding head-on with a car.

Robert A. Cunningham, 35, of Athens, was driving the wrong way on Interstate 70 near Exit 42 in North Belle Vernon when his car struck another head-on, pushing it into a third car.

Mr. Cunningham's vehicle ended up pinned between the center barrier and the car his struck.

He was pronounced dead at 9:49 p.m. The Westmoreland County Coroner ruled he died of multiple blunt force trauma.
