Woman killed in Washington County fire is identified

The Washington County coroner's office has identified the person who died today in a Union Township fire.

Elaine Manack, 59, of Finleyville died of smoke inhalation after her Nasal Lane home caught fire around 8:15 this morning.

The cause of death is pending an autopsy and the manner of death is pending investigation, said county Coroner Tim Warco.

A man who was found in the home was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital. He has not been identified.

The State Police Washington Barracks fire marshal is investigating the incident.
