An early morning fire in Butler County killed a woman whom authorities believe was using oxygen to treat a medical condition.

Flames broke out before 2 a.m. in the home along Fox Run Road in Cranberry. The fire likely was fed by the oxygen, but it is not clear what started the blaze.

The woman's husband managed to escape, but his condition is not known.

Their identities have not been released.
