The Penguins won their sixth game in a row, 2-1, against the Phoenix Coyotes tonight at Consol Energy Center.

Penguins goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury had a strong game, making 36 saves, to earn his 35th win. It's his fourth season in a row with at least 35 wins.

Former Phoenix defenseman Zbynek Michalek opened the scoring when he took a feed from Jordan Staal and whipped a shot off the blocker of Coyotes goaltender Mike Smith to give the Penguins a 1-0 lead at 11:44 of the first period.

Staal's assist gave him a five-game points streak.

Chris Kunitz's goal at 14:45 of the first period also went off Smith's blocker, giving the Penguins a 2-0 lead.

Evgeni Malkin's assist on Kunitz's goal moved him back into sole possession of the NHL scoring lead with 81 points and was his 499th career point. It also extended Malkin's points streak to eight games.
