More reassessment meetings announced

Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald and County Council President Charles Martoni will hold a town hall meeting on reassessment at 7 p.m. Wednesday on the Boyce campus of Community College of Allegheny County in Monroeville.

The event will be held in the Boyce Lecture Hall, 595 Beatty Road, Monroeville.

The meeting at CCAC, announced today, is the latest in a series of 13 such sessions planned in all county council districts.

Mr. Fitzgerald and Councilman Vince Gastgeb will hold a similar meeting starting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Bethel Park High School Auditorium, 309 Church Road.

Council Vice President Nicholas Futules and Mr. Fitzgerald will meet with property owners at 7 p.m. March 15 in the Penn Hills School District's Linton Middle School auditorium, 260 Aster St.

Each session will include a presentation on reassessment, a question-and-answer period and information on how to file and prepare for informal reviews and formal appeals. Legal and real estate professionals will provide free one-on-one advice and assistance.

Property owners can attend any of the sessions.
