Tom Cruise, Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Gary Oldman were just a few of the stars who lit up our skies with Klieg lights and flashlight-bright smiles this past year. They all filmed in Pittsburgh thanks to the efforts of the Pittsburgh Film Office and its director, Dawn Keezer, who was at the 12th annual PFO Oscar Party "Lights! Glamour! Action!" at Heinz Field Club East Lounge Sunday night. Making an appearance was "Crazy Heart" director Scott Cooper, who was in town to do some negotiating. The superhero theme for the fete was inspired by "The Dark Knight Rises" and "The Avengers," both filmed in Western Pennsylvania. Wandering among the nearly 950 guests were a Wonder Woman, Poison Ivy, Batgirl, a living Oscar statue, honorary chairs Drs. Katie and Tony Farah, County Executive Rich Fitzgerald, board chair Russ Streiner, emcee Michelle Wright of WTAE-TV, Merrill Stabile, Bob Fragasso with Janine Dillon, Harris Ferris and Linda Taylor with Bill Perry. Highmark was the presenting sponsor and representing it in his new role as an executive vice president was Dan Onorato with Shelly. An impressive auction of signed movie memorabilia, food stations, big-screen Oscar coverage and dancing had everyone feeling like a celebrity.
